TextureTruly, one sees the element of texture everywhere. An object can appear smooth, rough, hard, and soft, with an infinite amount of variations, which all show texture. A photographer can take images using various techniques which increase the appearance of texture. For example, if a photographer wishes to capture an image of water, and in it, display his or her knowledge of texture, then he or she can use a "long exposure time" in order to help to show the softness of the waves or ripples of water. The technique that Natalie focused on was using a "shallow depth of field". A "shallow depth of field", an effect of setting a large aperture opening, can cause the foreground to be in focus and the background to appear blurry; thus, increasing the focus of texture in a picture. Natalie felt extremely pleased with the resulting images. In addition, if she had the chance to redo her images and editing, she would not have changed anything.
